Quite simply, the PowerFlex Taping System makes our job much easier. It eliminates the need for aerosol adhesives and heavy foam underwraps, which our players found uncomfortable.
Plus, because of its elasticity, the PowerFlex fabric wrap can really be stretched so we get greater compression, more strength with PowerFlex...then we finish off with athletic tape for a nicely conforming tape job. And our players like that it absorbs sweat and doesn't stick to the skin or slide down with activity.
We highly recommend PowerFlex to any professional trainer.

As a trainer for a pro soccer team I am always looking for ways to protect my athletes from injury while also trying not to compromise their freedom of movement. PowerFlex taping products allow me to do just that.
PowerFlex has superior tensile strength compared to traditional elastic tape and the flexibility that still allows my players the freedom of movement they need to compete at the highest level.
I use PowerFlex for many of my tape jobs and have found it has many uses. I use it in place of pre-wrap as a base under white cloth trainers tape, and I also use it as a compression wrap for acute swelling. As a preventative, I use a base of PowerFlex, then three stirrups for medial and lateral support. The I finish it off with more or PowrFlex for my heel locks and figure-eights.
My players noticed right away the increased amount of stability, but no loss in their freedom of movement, which is very important. PowerFlex does not slip or loosen during practice or matches—even under the warmest weather conditions.
Most soccer players find the traditional white tape job to bulky and restrictive and will often refuse to be taped. This is why I think PowerFlex offers players a good alternative to traditional tape jobs. You can do a lighter tape job but still know you are providing a good level of protection, stability, and proprioceptive feedback. I have players who would never take preventative measures to protect their ankles who now use the PowerFlex system.
I believe that using PowerFlex along with a strength and balance program can greatly reduce ankle injuries commonly associated with soccer players.

PowerFlex is the most versatile ankle support wrap that I have ever used. It allows me to be confident that my tape job will perform longer, and as expected, under the most adverse practice and playing conditions. PowerFlex stays in place longer and provides maximum support. Most of the athletes that I have used PowerFlex on prefer the way it feels on their ankles and the continued support they receive.

PowerFlex has worked extremely well in preventing our daily fight against ankle sprains. It conforms well to the foot and athletes that I have used it on really like it. You can use PowerFlex by itself or you can tape directly over it. Depending on what the athlete is doing that day, we will determine what we will do in taping their ankle for that activity. PowerFlex is not just for prevention of ankle sprains, I have found that it works well on other parts of the body also and the cost saving can be tremendous.

I use PowerFlex as a barrier when an athlete is bleeding. It doesn't require taping, which is especially useful during infection control periods, when athletes are sweating and a bandage cannot be easily applied. PowerFlex is self-adherent, and resists perspiration. My athletes have stated that the product is convenient to them, because it doesn't require them to be out of action in order to treat a bleeding wound. I also use PowerFlex for severe ankle sprains, as a second prewrap, and as a pre-tape base. This gives the athlete a very comfortable feeling, especially those that are sensitive to being taped. It would be very difficult for me to function without PowerFlex. It is a most convenient asset to the sports medicine arena.

I have been using the PowerFlex Taping System experimentally on my high school athletes for four months. Through their comments, I am convinced that the athletes feel a superior support, greater comfort, and more confidence with PowerFlex System that with my conventional taping application which I have used in 25 years (adhesive spray, heel-lace pads, prewrap, and athletic tape). Because the athletes continually requested the PowerFlex Taping System, we, the trainers, are convinced that your product is superior to the conventional taping method.
A little history: First the aerosol tape adherent as opposed to the tincture of benzoin/powder stations; then prewrap as opposed to bare skin or roller gauze; then heal-lace pads to replace non-sterile gauze pads; and now, you at Andover Coated Products are introducing the PowerFlex Taping System, which is the innovative taping product."
